Honda staple features dynamic styling, chassis and body upgrades.
The Honda Accord has been one of the most popular cars on the road since its debut, most recently winning awards in 2013 and 2014 for being the vehicle most car-buyers would choose. But for Honda, this wasn’t good enough. That’s why Accord engineers decided to continue innovating and updating the industry-leading brand’s flagship model, giving it a new design for 2016.
"The best is getting better with the launch of the redesigned 2016 Accord," said Jeff Conrad, Senior Vice President of the Honda Division. "With more customer-relevant technology, an even more refined and sporty ride and top-class fuel economy and safety ratings, the 2016 redesign keeps Accord at the top of its class."
With a dynamic new style, upgraded body and chassis and available Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (being offered for the first time from Honda), the Accord Coupe was released last August. It was also released with an addition of Honda Sensing, which combines modern safety technology to set itself apart as the most comprehensive suites of safety and driver-assistive technologies ever offered in the midsize car class.
Under the hood, the 2016 Accord Coupe features a 4-cylinder o-VTEC engine, which combined with a lighter weight frame and new all-aluminum hood, bumps its highway EPA fuel economy rating to 37 mpg. The incredibly efficient engine teams up with a new exterior which features LED lights, alloy wheels and an expanded color pallet. Inside, the new Accord features new fabric and color schemes, new gloss black interior and a carbon fiber-style instrument panel.
