The roots of the Honda Civic go back a long way--almost to the brand's first sales in the United States. Now, it's one of the bestselling models in its class, with a fresh new design for its tenth generation that our shoppers can't get enough of. The roots of the Civic, however, are just as inspired as the current car.
The N600 is a more powerful version of the N360, designed specifically for American highways. To make sure it was up to the task of launching U.S. sales, Honda equipped it with a 600cc engine. Made with a lightweight alloy block, the two-cylinder could propel the 1,100 lb. car to 82 miles per hour, with peak torque at 9,000 rpm. Boasting two doors and a rear hatch, the car sold for four years, and paved the way for the Civic we know and love today.
In many ways, the innovations of the N600 have made the current tenth generation Civic possible. Critics can’t stop raving about it. If you want to learn more about what all the flap is about, contact our Honda dealership in Murray, UT. We'd be more than happy to set you up with a test drive.
