It sits low, has aggressive carbon fiber side skirts, flared fenders, 20-inch wheels, red accents, and a mean wing. The new Civic Type R sports a center-exit exhaust system with three exhaust pipes coming out of the back. The Civic Type R is based on the same frame as the new Civic Hatchback, which is already fairly aggressive.
The new Honda Civic Type R is one of the most aggressive tuner performance vehicles on the streets. Rivaling the Subaru WRX/STI, the Ford Focus ST/RS, and the Volkswagen Golf R, the new Civic Type R has 306 turbocharged horsepower on a 2.0L inline-four six-speed manual with front-wheel drive. A front-strut suspension eliminates torque steer that you typically get with a high-powered front-wheel drive vehicle.
